Welcome to Abacus Valuations Ltd ("we", "our", or "us"). By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before engaging with our services.


1. Scope of Services

1.1 We provide energy surveying, domestic energy assessments, retrofit assessments, and related property services (the "Services").
1.2 All services are conducted in accordance with industry standards, including compliance with relevant regulations and certifications.


2. Client Responsibilities

2.1 Clients must provide accurate and complete information about the property to enable us to perform the Services effectively.
2.2 Access to the property must be granted at the agreed time. Failure to provide access may result in delays or additional charges.
2.3 Clients are responsible for ensuring that the property is safe and accessible for our assessors.


3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Fees for our Services will be outlined in the quotation provided to the client.
3.2 Payment is due After the Survey has been completed and Before the Survey is Uploaded to the Government Portal unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.3 Payments may be either Cash on the Day of the Survey or by Bank Transfer


4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

4.1 Clients may reschedule appointments without penalty by providing at least "24 hours" notice.
4.2 Clients who reschedule appointments within the "24 hours" notice may be subject to a £10 extra fee.
4.3 Cancellations made with less than "24 hours" notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50 percentage of the quoted fee.


5. Liability

5.1 We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our Services. However, we are not liable for:

  • Any inaccuracies resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Services. eg If the Result of the Survey, results in the value of your property being lower

5.2 Our total liability for any claim arising from our Services is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

5.3 We are liable for any damages incured during the Survey, we are covered by Public Limited Liability Insurance from Direct Line


6. Confidentiality

6.1 We respect your privacy and will handle your personal and property information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6.2 All reports and assessments provided are for the client’s use only and must not be shared or reproduced without our prior written consent.


7. Intellectual Property

7.1 All materials, reports, and documentation provided as part of our Services remain our intellectual property until full payment is received.
7.2 Clients may not modify, distribute, or reproduce our materials without explicit permission.


8. Governing Law

8.1 These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 Any disputes arising from these terms or our Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


9. Amendments

9.1 We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.
